Volunteer Coordinator

Cristina Buckley

Cristina Buckley is a New York City and East Hampton native with a career spanning film, television, textile design, interiors, and home furnishings. After studying film and art history, she began her career as a set dresser and decorator in film and television, including work on the first season of Sex and the City. She later studied Textile Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and joined Schumacher, where she worked as a colorist and pattern designer.

In 2005, Cristina moved to Los Angeles to join renowned interior designer Kelly Wearstler, serving for seven years as Creative Director of home furnishings across textiles, wallpaper, rugs, bedding, dinnerware, and decorative accessories. She later launched her own wallpaper and textile brand, inspired by old Hollywood glamour and maximalist patterns. Today, her collection of wallpaper and textiles is represented exclusively by Schumacher worldwide, and she continues to develop new designs, expanding into rugs and hand weaving.

Cristina moved to Springs full time in 2022 and became an active volunteer with Springs Food Pantry. As Volunteer Coordinator, she manages the roster of volunteers who make Wednesday distributions possible, bringing creativity, organization, and plenty of on-the-fly problem solving to the role.

Deeply connected to the character and history of the East End, Cristina also volunteers with the Springs Historical Society and has a particular interest in preserving the cultural and architectural heritage of East Hampton. For Cristina, volunteering at the Pantry is about maintaining that same sense of connection: “I enjoy the camaraderie between all the volunteers and how we are all contributing towards the same goal of assisting our neighbors. Each volunteer is an integral piece of the puzzle. As they say, it truly takes a village!”
