We’re grateful to the American Heart Association for its growing collaboration with Springs Food Pantry and its commitment to improving food security and heart health across the East End.
Through a connection with our longtime friends at Share the Harvest Farm, Jeremy Leiss, Community Impact Director for Long Island and Westchester, recently visited the Pantry to learn more about our work and the families we serve. Inspired by what he saw, the American Heart Association stepped forward with several meaningful contributions that will help us better serve our community.

The American Heart Association has:
❄️ Funded the purchase of two new commercial deep freezers, replacing aging equipment and helping us safely store more healthy food.
🛍️ Donated reusable insulated shopping bags for our weekly distributions.
❤️ Provided heart-healthy educational materials in both English and Spanish for our recipients.

The new freezers will make an enormous difference in our day-to-day operations. Every week, Springs Food Pantry distributes lean protein and other nutritious foods to approximately 370 families, and dependable freezer space is essential to safely storing and organizing those products before distribution. With limited storage space, efficient, reliable equipment helps us maximize every square foot and ensures we can continue providing healthy protein to families each week.
"These donations will make a real difference every single week. The new freezers give us the reliable storage we need for protein, dairy, eggs and yogurt. The insulated bags help keep those items cold as families make their way home. And the heart-healthy resources give our recipients practical information they can use every day. It's thoughtful support that helps us serve our community more efficiently and more effectively." — Kira Brandman, Operations Director

A very special thank you to Ronald Webb Builders for generously helping us remove our aging freezers and move the new units into place. Their willingness to lend a hand made what could have been a difficult project remarkably smooth, and we're incredibly grateful for their continued support of the Pantry.
These generous donations will help us continue providing not only nutritious food, but also valuable health information and improved resources for the 370 families we serve each week.
A heartfelt thank you to Jeremy Leiss, the American Heart Association, and our friends at Share the Harvest Farm for helping make this initiative possible. Together, we're building a healthier, stronger Springs community.
