Amy is already a familiar face at the Pantry and a passionate advocate for our community. She has played an increasingly important role in our fundraising events, helping bring together the people, ideas, and resources that make events like the Springs Garden Party and Chowdah Chowdown so successful. Her appointment to the Board recognizes both the contributions she has already made and the leadership she will bring as we continue to grow.

Professionally, Amy brings more than 30 years of experience as an advocate, counselor, evaluator, and negotiator in the field of disability management. A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, she has dedicated her career to helping people with physical, psychological, and substance-use challenges navigate complex disability issues and receive the benefits and support they deserve. Amy also serves on the Board of Pitch Your Peers Hamptons, extending her commitment to giving back across our East End community.

“Amy brings an extraordinary combination of energy, compassion, and determination to everything she does. She understands that our events aren't simply fundraisers. They're an opportunity to bring our community together around the belief that no one in Springs should go hungry. We're thrilled to have her voice and leadership on our Board.” — Holly Reichart-Wheaton, Director and Chairperson

For Amy, joining the Board is another way to put her longtime commitment to advocacy and community service into action.

“I’m honored to join the Board of Springs Food Pantry and to work alongside such an incredibly dedicated group of volunteers. I love that our events bring people together while raising the funds we need to put healthy food on our neighbors' tables. I'm excited to help build on that energy and find even more ways to engage our community in the Pantry's mission.” — Amy Leopold, Events Coordinator

As Springs Food Pantry continues to serve nearly 400 local families each week, strong volunteer leadership is more important than ever. We’re incredibly grateful that Amy has chosen to bring her talents, enthusiasm, and commitment to this new role.

Welcome to the Board, Amy!
